I remember a time in Church wherein the priest gave a homily about the calling of God to a person. The calling of God can come in times wherein someone close to you is feeling deep pain, loneliness, or fear.
If you know that it's your calling. Then why not give it a try.
I have a really good friend in school, unfortunately I cannot say his name for private reasons. We always talk about how our lives outside of school are, we always play games together, basically we do a lot of things together.
Have you heard about...
Hey come on let's play a game!
One night he called me, crying. Of course I was shocked and asked him what happened. But all because of his crying I wasn't able to understand fully well what he was saying.
Hey are you ok? What's going on?
For some reason he skipped classes, and kept telling me that he was always going to be absent the next day.
Where is your friend? He hasn't been in school for 5 days now.
I'm not sure Ms. but he told me that he is gonna be absent again tomorrow.
After school on a Friday, I went to his house and he told me that he was feeling depressed because he wasn't doing well in class and his parents got mad at him for playing too much games on his phone. So I told him that I would tutor him every time after class.
I keep failing in class, my parents say that all I ever do is play. I don't know what to do anymore.
I'll help you, don't worry.
Nice! You finally got it!
Finally! I get it now! Thanks!
Eventually, he started to pickup the habit of studying on his own and he was finally able to ace tests. These moments were memorable to me because I was able to be of hope to my depressed friend due to his academics. I really felt that it was the calling of God for me to be his guide.
