  • Phase 1 the Great Lakes, Canada, and the North West
  • We are going to die fighting tonight!!
  • The Native American resistance was created and organized by the Native American chief Tecumseh. Tecumseh organized the Native American resistance so that the Natives Americans in the Northwest Territory to fight the Americans. Tecumseh allied with the British in Canada for supplies.
  • Phase 2 the East Coast
  • oh, say can you see, by the dawns early light, what so proudly at the..........
  • James Madison was was elected president on the year 1809, and was our 4th President. James Madison asked Congress to if they could let us be in war with Britain because of impressment and, they have also been attacking U.S ships. The British said they have stopped but it was too late....
  • Phase 3 New Orleans
  • Most of the war was fought on water on boats with Navy's. Oliver Hazard Perry was the commander of the U.S Navy in Lake Eerie. Perry's ship sank after two hours into the battle so, he used a row boat for the rest of the battle. They destroyed the British ships with a row boat, and won the battle.

  • After the British was no longer a threat to the Northwest, we go on to phase two. The British blockaded the coast and marched all the way to the White House and burned the President mansion. At the same time Frances Scott was watching the bombardment of Ft. McHenry and wrote the Star Spangled Banner.
  • After the British blockaded the coast and burned the White House they came to attack New Orleans. They came to attack New Orleans so that they could cut off American use of the Mississippi. After that James Madison sent Andrew Jackson to command the American forces in 1815. We won the battle, American casualties= 71 British casualties= 2000
  • After the war it had a lot of effects on a lot of different things. It had increased American patriotism, it was the start of the industrial revolution, and weakened the Native American resistance, to westward settlement.
