  • In the first phase of the war of 1812 this scene is located in Canada. They first were in the Great Lakes fighting against the Americans but fled. Oliver Hazard Perry was in charge of Lake Erie and the Navy there. In the background it shows one of the American ships that was ruined or destroyed during the cannon battle. On the boat is the British and they are excited about being done with the battle but then the Americans came back and fought against the British. William Harrison defeated them there.
  • Phase 1
  • Great job guys! We attacked the American ships. Oh no! Take cover the Americans are coming to attack us!
  • Oh no! The British are burning down the whitehouse!!!
  • In this picture this is the Whitehouse being burnt down by the British. This happened after Britian decided to focus on the United States because they had defeated Napoleon.

  • I am Andrew Jackson. An American hero who has increased patriotism.
  • This picture is of the American flag. After the British attacked Fort Mc. Henry and Baltimore Mc. Henry then decided to get a gigantic American flag so that the British can see it from far away. Also, Francis Scott Key who is a Washington lawyer stayed up the entire night to watch the battle.
  • I am going to stay here the entire night and watch the battle!

  • Andrew Jackson is considered a war hero because he was the commander at the time for the United States. The British attacked Andrew Jackson and his troops and the Americans defeated the British. The Battle of New Orleans made Jackson a war hero but it was unnecessary.

  • The war of 1812 led to the Industrial Revolution because Andrew Jackson, William Henry who was in the first phase and defeated the British at the Battle of Thames. Also, Commodore Perry was important because he took command of the U.S. Navy in Lake Erie. Also,this weakened the Native American resistance to settle West. Then, the U.S. manufacturing grew and that was the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

  • James Madison
  • Impressment was a cause of the war because they wanted the British to stop attacking U.S. ships. The Resistance was when Tecumeseh a Chief located to the far left organized all the Native Americans to attack Americans. They allied with the British. James Madison is asking Congress about commiting a just cause in the hands of the Almighty Disposure of Events. Madison is the current president during these events.
