Throughout his travels, Chris would be given work from people who would pick him up. Not everyone would, but most people would allow him to stay at their homes. Overall, people respected Chris' choices and helped him get to his final destination.
Love you too little sis!

One of the first characters that the reader is introduced to went by the name of Gallien. He picks Chris up during the hitchiking part of his travels and though the reader doesn't learn much of him, we know that he is a curious and caring guy who is just worried about Chris.
God! Your always in my business. One of these days dad i am going to just leave !
The next character that the reader is introduced to is Wayne Westerberg. He is a farmer who gives Chris a place to sleep for a few days along with his wifeand gives him busy work. They become very close.
You have to spend the rest of your time on this planet freely. Franz, go explore. Do things you have never done before.
Thank you Chris. Please stay safe on your travels.
Chris' youngest sister, Carine, is the closest person to Chris in the whole book. She understands his choices and is the most broken heart from his death.
The reader is then introduced to the father of Chris, Walt. He is just like his son, but with a temper. He is one of the main reasons, according to Chris' sister, that Chris left.
Another character that is greatly touched by the passing of Chris was Franz. He was a lonley old man who was going no where until he picked up Chris. He changed his life, made him quit addiction, and freed him to the world. After the passing of Chris, Franz went back to drinking hard.
