  • Inciting Incident
  • You stepped on my foot. You're gonna pay for that!
  • Rising Action
  • Junior's parents have decided to move their family from the tiny village Los Rafas into town.  At first Junior doesn't understand why they must move, but he soon realizes after hearing his Papa talk to his Mama that he is the reason they are moving. His parents believe that Junior needs to go to a better school in order to learn English and be able to interact with the English-speaking world around them.
  • Climax
  • Junior makes his first enemy when he steps on his classmate  Chango's foot after Chango tripped him in class.  Chango confronted Junior on the playground, but Junior got Change on the ground without much trouble.  Chango changed perspective his on Junior and decided he'd make a good addition to his little club, "Los Indios".
  • Falling Action
  • When a new kid, Denver, moves into Junior's neighborhood, Junior and his gang start to chase Denver around, trying to scare him since he's an Okie. They pretend he's the John Wayne to their Cisco Kid, as they love action movies and their hero is the Cisco Kid, and John Wayne is the villian to the Cisco Kid.  They beat Denver up as a part of their little game, but Denver doesn't tell on Junior and the gang to his parents.
  • Resolution
  • Denver's mom told Junior that him and Denver should see a movie at the theaters that weekend since they were neighbors and should get to know one another.  Junior's mom and dad insisted they go, even though Junior did not agree with the idea.
  • Junior brings Denver to the movie theaters, where Los Indios is waiting for Junior to let them into the theater.  The gang questions Junior about bringing Denver to the theater, but Junior talks the gang into letting Denver stay and they all make it into the theater.
  • Junior and his gang soon realized that they judged Denver wrong, and that they could friends, despite their differences. Junior realized that Denver was more than a "John Wayne", and that he judged Denver too quickly.
