In the expostion of "The Outsiders" the readers get introduced to the Greasers and the Soc's. Also, the conflict between the two social classes becomes clear!
I here by declare Ponyboy Curtis not guilty.
In the rising action Ponyboy and Johnny go into the burning church to save a group of kids. In the midst of this, Johnny gets knocked down by a piece of falling wood. In result, Johnny took on serious injuries.
Immediately, after the fire Johnny and Ponyboy were sent to the hospital. Over the next few days Johnny was showing no signs recovery! One night Ponyboy went to go see him, during his visit Johnny passed away.
It's so good to finally get some real food!
The falling action is when Dallas gets shot and dies. Although, since Dallas was so upset about Johnny passing away he purposely let him self get shot by the cops.
Solving all the problems was the court session on the death of Bob Sheldon. This solved most loose end because it made Ponyboy realize that Johnny was really gone and he needed to just keep moving with life.
My favorite part of the book is when Dallas takes Johnny and Ponyboy to get real food after spending days at the church. I choose this part because it reveals how much Dallas cares about the boys and would anything for them!
