  • Yep.

  • ... And that's the story of our people getting murderded.
  • And our animals.
  • Why dad. Why.
  • Colonel Ranald S. Mackenzie led American troops to the camps (Kiowa, Comanche, and Cheyenne) and surprised them by attacking. The camps were running all over the canyon, and it was chaotic.
  • The U.S. military had no mercy, killing the Indian's animals and leaving the only option for the Indians; to flee. The military gathered up the Indian's belongings and set them on fire. The army kept 340 animals.
  • The tribes fled, not knowing what to do. Having little to no resources, the tribes went to Oklahoma, causing the U.S. winning this battle.  Only one person was wounded, and fifty to seventy-five were killed.
