Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • "You think you're just too good for us," Uncle Luis shouted at Papa in Spanish, "just because you have a job in town!"
  • Inciting Incident
  • "You stepped on my foot, big eyes. And you big eyes are going to get it for that."
  • Rising Action
  • In the exposition, Papa and Uncle Louis are arguing about Papa and his family moving into town and away from the family. Grandma was okay with them moving because she said he is an adult and has a family, therefore, he can live wherever he wants to live. Junior at first thought the reason they were moving was so that Papa would be closer to work, but then he later realized that they were moving so Junior could live a better and more successful life.
  • Climax
  • "You!"
  • In the inditing incident, Junior goes to the first day of his new school. When he is walking in a boy tries to trip him but Junior steps on his foot instead. The boy's name was Chango. Once it was time for all of the kids to go outside the Chango came up to Junior to fight him. Junior knocks Chango to the ground and from there on Chango accepts Junior into the group called the Los Indios. They all liked going/sneaking into the movie theatre which was called the Rat House.
  • Falling Action
  • Junior gets new neighbors. Junior and his mom don't like them that much, because they are white with blonde hair. One day after school the group of boys decide they wanted to see what public school kids looked like. After a while they got bored, and so they turned around to go home. That is when they see Juniors neighbor. All of the boys start to run after him, and they do this for a while until they trap him and beat him up.
  • Resolution
  • "What's he doing here?"
  • When Junior was taking out the garbage one day he saw his neighbor outside. They were both a little shocked to see each other after how Junior and his friends treated the other boy. Junior punched the boy, and the boy gave out a yelp of pain. Then the boy's mom came out yelling his name which was Denver. Denver's mom and Junior's mom started to talk, and they decided that Junior would bring Denver to the movies with him and his friends.
  • "You!"
  • Junior was very nervous to bring Denver with him to the movies because he didn't know how Chango would react to Denver. Junior and Denver were silent the whole time they were walking to the Rat House. Junior could tell Denver was nervous to see the rest of the Los Indios.
  • When Junior and Denver get to teh Rat House where Chango and the rest of the Los Indos are, Change wasn't happy to see Denver. This led to Junior lying to Chango and saying that Denver is an albino Indian from Oklahoma. Chango wasn't fooled at first but after Denver said some gibberish he was fooled. They all went into the movies and had a good time.
  • "He's not what you think," ..., "He's an Indian from Oklahoma"
