The battle of Lexington was the first battle of the American war for Independence. It started as a face off between 800 Redcoats and about 70 Minuet Men. Then there is a shot but no one knows which side fired first. Later on it was deemed "The Shot Heard Around The World". Ultimately the Americans lose their first battle.
Battle of Seratoga
The battle of Bunker Hill was an attack on an American fortification. The Americans inflicted a 40% casualty rate on the British troops. On the third assault the Patriots soon ran low on ammunition and had to abandons the fortification.
The battle of Trenton was an ambush set by the Americans the day after Christmas . The Americans knew that the Hessians are big on Christmas so they would be drunk and partying a lot. So the American crossed the Delaware River in the middle of night and surprised the Hessians early the next morning. In the end they captured about 800 Hessians.
Battle of Yorktown
The battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the Revolution. After a long and gruesome battle he British finally decided to surrender to the Americans. which was a great morale boost for the Patriots.[ This also meant the French would now be joining the Patriots because they now knew it wasn't a lost cause.
Valley Forge was the American's camp for the Winter. Here they faced many hardships like disease, lack of food, medicine, and clothing. But they also gained training by General Lafayette.
The Battle of Yorktown Was the last battle of the War For Independence. The Americans and French were attacking a British fort by land and French Warships were bombarding it from the sea. After days under siege General Cornwallis surrendered to General Washington. But Cornwallis was in so much shame he made one of his Officers surrender his sword to Washington.
