At ten years old, Cynthia Ann Parker moved with her family to Central Texas. They built Fort Parker on the Navasota River (circa 1835).
Comanche warriors attacked Fort Parker, and seized five captives including Parker.
Ten years later a trading party tries to negotiate her release, but both tribal elders and parker refuse.
She marries Peta Nocona, and has three children. One of whom is Quanah Parker.
In 1860 Parker (is about 45) is captured by the Texas Rangers and receives an annual stipend and land from the Texas legislature.
Though Parker never fully accepts white ways, she was not allowed to return to her Comanche family. Her son Quanah, becomes a powerful Comanche leader.
