  • So, we're kind of broke right now and in a looooot of debt... so you have to pay taxes on paper, sugar and molasses. :)
  • Sugar Act- After the French and Indian war, England was in major war debt.
  • but why?
  • Well, you didn't seem thaaat bothered by those other taxes... so I hope you don't mind if I just... go ahead and tax your paints, paper, glass, lead, AND tea...
  • Stamp Act
  • Wait no, we didn't agree to this!
  • Boston Massacre- during a "riot" of sorts, a gun was fired and the redcoats and patriots broke into a fight. 7 patriots were wounded.
  • Tea Act- This act also allowed for the British East India company to ship more tea out of their crowded warehouses and near resurrect the business.
  • Hello good sir, the British Parliament has decided to let the British East India Company sell cheap tea to the colonies directly!
  • Hey, that's not fair! Now our local tea suppliers are out of business because we cannot sell our tea for that cheap...
  • Boston Tea Party- In protest against the Tea act, members of the Sons of Liberty dumped 243 chests of British tea into the harbor.
  • Your actions at Boston Harbor were a serious crime against the king! You will be punished for your actions and have to house soldiers in your home.
  • Intolerable Acts
  • This is ridiculous!! We are being ignored but our government and have no say in its actions... and now *we're* being punished?
