I was very nervous but why do you call me mad. I didn't hate the old man, he had never done anything wrong to me. I didn't want anything from him. But you see he had a vulture like eye, I'm pretty sure that's why I did it.
Now the eye can't bother me!
I stalked the man at night for seven days. When he would go to bed, and after I thought he had fallen asleep, I would very cautiously open the door and put my light in so I could see. So you still think I'm mad? Would a madman have been so cautious?
The scream was of my own. You can come in and search if you would like.
I have nothing to fear.
We got a call from a neighbor saying they heard screaming.
Finally, on the eight night, when I opened the door. I felt triumph that I was there and the old man wasn't even dreaming of my deeds. I chuckled at the idea. The man must have heard me because he sat up in bed and asked who was there. After about an hour, I heard a quiet groan of terror and knew the man was still sitting up in his bed. I decided to let a tiny bit of light out of the lantern when I did it showed his eye and it was wide open. Seeing the eye filled me with fury. I could hear the old man's heart beating, it increased my fury but I still waited.
I haven't found anything.
It kept growing louder and louder, faster and faster, the old man must have been terrified, until the sound became to quick and loud I was sure his heart would burst. I grew anxious because I began to think that a neighbor would hear it. The man's final hour had come. As I yelled loudly, I threw open the lantern and jumped into the room. The man screamed once. I dragged the man to the floor and pulled the heavy bed over him, his heart was a muffled sound. The sound of his heartbeat finally ceased. I checked to make sure and he was officially dead.
You will no longer think I am mad when I tell you what I did with the body. I dismembered the corpse and hid it under three boards. I did all of this without a drop of blood falling. Leaving no evidence. When I finished with this there was a knock on the door. It was the police saying that a neighbor had heard a scream. I invited them let them look.
Of course when they looked they found nothing because I was smart enough to leave no evidence. Since I wasn't acting strange they didn't think that I could have killed the man. I then said that they could check his bedroom. When they asked where he was and I was so clever that I said he was visiting family and wouldn't be back for a while.
