Storyboard Text

  • Introduction
  • Well. No, I need help with the quadratic formula of I'm going to fail my math class.
  • I can help you, can we go to your room so I can help
  • Hey. Are you okay there? You look really stressed and on the verge of tears
  • Being Grateful
  • Yeah, no problem. Should we get started?
  • Thank you so much for helping me with the Quadratic Formula, Jake.
  • Okay, so we are going to start off simply. Whats the Formula for the quadratic equation.
  • Introducing the Quadratic Formula
  • x= -b ± (√b2 -4ac)/2
  • Yes!!!! Good, now I'm going to give you an example.  6x-x2-8.
  • Jessica is having trouble with the quadratic formula and is so close to giving up
  • Introduing the problem
  • Okay, so would I have to get my a,b, and c?
  • The quadratic equation is an easier way to factor out a standard equation.
  • Finding out Standard Form
  • 6x-x2-8 A= 6         B=-1       C= -8
  • Begining to introduce the formula to start solving the equation
  • Explaing the Standard Form
  • NO. you didn't put it in standard form.
  • what do you mean by Standard Form? I thought it was.
  • Jake introduced a problem to Jessica. Will she understand it?
  • Yeah, so what would that be?
  • Jessica makes a simple mistake in trying to put it in standard form
  • The standard form can help when your beginning to solving the problem
  • Well, then when you see an x squared you always put that first then put the regular x and then lastly add the last number.
