Storyboard Text

  • Duncan, wait, can we talk? There's something you need to know.
  • Macbeth confronts Duncan on the stairs. This is after receiving a letter telling him he must kill Duncan in order to escape.
  • We all want to get out of here. We all have reasons to escape, people to get back to.
  • Macbeth, what's going on? You're acting really strange.
  • Macbeth is now preparing to tell Duncan what he has been told to do.
  • No, wait! You can't just walk away, I'm trying to talk to you!
  • You're not making any sense. I don't have time to listen to your silly rants, I have more important things to do.
  • Duncan loses his patience and begins walking away. Macbeth is getting very frustrated with Duncan and starts becoming very angered.
  • Macbeth, let go. We shouldn't even be talking, you know that.
  • Macbeth grabs Duncan in an attempt to make him listen, but this results in Duncan getting very annoyed.
  • Macbeth pushes Duncan off the stairs, to his death. His overwhelming outrage completely took over and  he immediately fills with regret.
  • I'm sorry it had to come to this.
  • In this closing scene, the camera closes in on Macbeths face so the audience can see his emotionless expression. He knows this is the beginning of many horrible things to come.
