Once upon a time, there was a young man who had scissors for hands...
Oh dear, you must be so lonely. Come home with me so I can fix those scars!
Who is THAT?! What has Peg done now?
The movie starts out with a fade in with a grandmother and boy reading a story about a pecular person with scissors as hands. The scene slowly fades out into the movie scenes.
Peg finds Edward in the dark mansion by himself and invites him to her home so she can fix his scars and provide him care. Fades out to Edward and Peg at home.
What can those hands do?
What is happening?
Fades in to Edward at home. While Peg's husband is with their son, Ed finds his talent for cutting unique shapes into trees and is suddenly questioned by all the neighborhood ladies.
It's a murderer!
While prepping for the BBQ, Edward fades into a flashback of the factory where he was made and his father. There is a metal body and a cookie heart that represents Edward's life. (In a later scene) Edward and his father prepare him with ettique lessons to prepare Edward to become a normal boy.
During the BBQ all the ladies, especially Joyce, fawn over Edward and his mysteriousness. They especially like his skills with his scissor hands and feed him lots of food.
He's mine! Haven't you already agreed to come to my house Edward?
In the middle of the night, Kim, Peg's daughter, comes home to her room but because of her screaming Edward cuts the water bed. At the same time she is mortified and runs to her parents room for comfort.
