  • Exposition:  Old Major explains his dream of a revolution to the animals of Manor Farm. Because of how horribly the animals are treated by the owner, Mr.Jones, a revolution against humans seems like heaven. He explains that after the revolution, all the animals will be equal, happy, and healthy.

  • Conflict: In Animal Farm, conflict is endless. At first, the conflict is between Mr.Jones and the animals, but after he is kicked out, the conflict is then between Snowball and Napolean. After Snowball is kicked out, the conflict is between the other animals and Napolean. 
  • Rising Action: The animals kick Mr.Jones out an rename the farm "Animal Farm". The Seven Commandments are made and explain how every animal is equal and should be nothing like humans. The pigs soon take over and Napolean and Snowball start to disagree on many things.

  • Climax: After Snowball voices his plans for a windmill, Napolean's dogs chase him out of Animal Farm and he is banished. When Snowball is gone, Napolean says the idea for the windmill was originally his and Snowball had stolen it. 
  • Falling Action: Napolean becomes the leader, with Squealer supporting him and his dogs guarding him. Squealer convinces the animals that life on Animal Farm is better than it was under the rule of Mr.Jones, but the animals are unsure. Every animal that disagrees with Napolean is killed by his dogs and only his supporters remain.
  • Resolution: Napolean becomes close to the humans and starts acting like them. The pigs do things similar to man like drink alcohol, wear human clothes, and walk on two legs. They are seen eating with farmers and being friendly towards them.
