Scene 1: In this scene, the Witch's are preparing to cast a spell on Macbeth. Hecate compliments the witch's on what they are doing and for all of their efforts. After this happens Macbeth approach's the witches in order to ask them to tell him the truth behind the prophecy they have given him.
Scene 1: Macbeth approach's the witches in order to fully understand the prophecy that the witches foresaw of him. the witches show him a whole bunch of signs that are meant to prove that he will be king for a long time. one thing they show him is a bloody child which symbolizes that he can't be dethroned by a child that has been born from a woman.
Scene 1: Lennox approaches Macbeth and tells him that Macduff has gone to England to join Malcolm. This makes Macbeth angry so he goes to Macduff's castle and he leads a massacre on everyone inside.
Scene 2: In this scene, it can be seen that Lady Macduff is not happy that her husband has left them and they are now under attack. in another turn of events, it is revealed Ross and Lady Macduff are cousins. Macbeth then goes on to massacre everyone that is in the castle.
Scene 3: while Macduff is on his trip he goes to Malcolm in order to try and convince him to take back Scotland and his rightful place as king since he is the heir to the throne. through all his efforts Malcolm continuously denies saying that he thinks that he would be a worse king than Macbeth.
Scene 3: Macduff gets very mad at Malcolm because he won't come back and help the people who need him. Malcolm than reveals that he was lying and that he will return and take back the throne and that he only denied it first as a test to see where Macduffs loyalties truly lie. Ross than enters the scene and informs Macduff of the horrible tragedy that has occured in his home.
