Medieval history assignment Salma Razi
This storyboard does not have a description.
Someone stop this man! He tried to steal from me.
In the Medieval times, pick-pocketing was done by many. They were smart and chose to pick-pocket busy areas.
This unlucky thief was caught by the knights who would monitor the streets. The man will be sent to jail to then experience trial.
People who committed crimes were left in the dirty crowded jails. The jail had no food either so some would even starve to death.
Off to the wells with you!
When on trial, the accused has to pass risky tests to show that they are innocent. Most lead up to life or death.
The unlucky man gets thrown in the well to prove he is innocent. If he floats he is guilty and gets left to die.
If you drowned it was known as "the water accepting you", which meant you were innocent. Although you would still die.
Looks like the water accepted him after all!
