Storyboard Text

  • On your left here is the nucleus. It controls all the activities within the cell.
  • Correct! These are the 'transporters'. They move things in and outside the cell.
  • Hey I know these! These are the vesicles right?
  •  Now this here is the endoplasmic reticulum. It is attacked to the nucleus and has the smooth and rough ER on it.
  • The nucleus stores all the genes about yourself. It directs all of the cells activities.
  • This here is the mitochondria. It takes sugar and turns it into energy!
  • Straight ahead we have the ribosomes. They make proteins
  • Vesicles aren't always in plant cells. They are actually quite rare plant cells. Even so, they do the same job as they would in animal cells.
  • The ER is shaped like some plates stacked together and have ribosomes on the rough ER which make them.
  • The mitochondria is a bean shaped organelle that makes energy for the cell to function.
  • The ribosome is attached to the rough ER. It makes proteins using the DNA from the nucleus.
  • The Golgi Body is like a post office. It sorts, it ships, and manufactures proteins.
  • Here is the Golgi Body. It sorts and ships proteins all around the cell.
