There are three different types of rocks and they have a cycle with them.

Some examples of metamorphic rock are Marble,slate,schist and quartzite
Nonfoliaded rocks are formed bye intrusive igneous rocks and there temperature was high but there pressure was low.
Igneous rocks form when magma cools below earths surface.
Examples of igneous rocks are granite,basalt and pumice
Intrusive rocks form under earths surface and forms big crystals. Also is used to build counter tops and many other things. Also extrusive rocks form on earths surface and forms little crystals also it is used to build counter top and other things to.
Examples of extrusive is rhyolite,pumice,and basalt and examples of instrusive rocks are granite,pegamite and dionite
First thing for sedimentary rocks to for is weathering and when that happens the rocks are getting broken down
Then after weathering there is sediment and sediment is when a rock is being broken down chemically or physically
Some examples of sedimentary rocks are sandstone,shale,flint and chert
The third step for a sedimentary rock to form is erosion and this carries away sediments by different forces
The fourth step is deposition and this doposites the sediment into a new location after being eroded
Then after deposition is compaction and this presses the sediments together tightly
Sedimentary rocks form when weathering and erosion break down other rocks into loose material.
The last step for a sedimentary rock to form is cementation which then glues all the sediments together
Foliaed rocks form when pressure squeezed the flat edges of a mineral and rock.
Metamorphic rocks are formed by heat and pressure of existing igneous or sedimentary rocks
How Igneous rocks form
Minerals make up rocks and a rock is a solid made out of minerals.
Some examples of foliaded rocks are slate,marble and hornfels
Some examples of nonfoliaded rocks are novaculite,phylite and gneiss
