  • Alberta Supreme court 
  • in 1917 in Alberta the supreme court made the provision that there is no legal disqualification for holding an office in the government baced on gender.
  • she was told that the federal government would not let a women in to the Canadian senate because of the British north american act the states that women are not persons
  • I am going to become the first female senator.
  • she learned that any five people could initiate an appeal to the supreme court of Canada for clarification on the BNA act.
