The New Deal was created in the 1930s in response to the Great Depression. They were a series of federal programs, public work projects and reforms /regualations.
FDR decided to include the National Youth Administration .
I have an idea: The National Youth Administration!
The National Youth Administration made sure that children could work too.
Unemployed children were provided with training to make it easier and more likely for them to get jobs.
I'm going to teach you guys everything you need to know to get a good job to support your families.
It also provided part time jobs for children that went to school. These students would go after school and work until the night.
After school, I have to go to work.
This act was believed to help families earn more money by making more family members work.
We have more money to buy food now!
