  • The New Deal was created in the 1930s  in response to the Great Depression.  They were a series of federal programs, public work  projects and reforms /regualations.
  • FDR decided to include the National Youth Administration . 
  • I have an idea: The National Youth Administration!
  • The National Youth Administration made sure that children could  work too. 
  • Unemployed children were provided with training to make it easier and more likely for them  to get jobs.
  • I'm going to teach you guys everything you need to know to get a good job to support your families.
  • It also provided part time jobs for children that went to school. These students would go after school and work until the night. 
  • After school, I have to go to work. 
  • This act was believed to help families earn more money by making more family members work. 
  • We have more money to buy food now!
