Storyboard Text

  • Noooo!!!!
  • Today we will be talking about mitosis!
  • What is that?!?!
  • Mitosis is when the cell divides, it goes through 4 phases. These phases are prophase, metophase, anaphase, and telophase.
  • I wonder how many flies are in here--- 1. 2. 3.....
  • Prophase is the first phase in mitosis. In prophase the nuclear membrane disinogrates, and  centrioles move to opposite ends of the cell.
  • The second phase in mitosis is Metophase. During Metophase the chromatids line up in the middle of the cell.
  • The third phase in mitosis is Anaphase. During Anaphase chromosomes separate and move away from one another.
  • The last phase in mitosis is Telophase. In Telophase mitosis is complete, and a new nucleus forms around each set of chromosomes.
