Storyboard Text

  • Oh look new comers! There better not be any more where they come from.
  • Look we're here!
  • Here I go God.
  • Let my people go!
  • Yes!
  • free all the other Israelite's so nothing else bad can happen.
  • Me too.
  • Jacob took his family to Egypt because there was a famine in Canaan. Egypt had a surplus of food for everyone. At first the Pharaoh was OK with Jacob and his family staying, but as the years passed the Hebrews grew more and more. Also, the Pharaoh thought they would take over Egypt because they believed in monotheism, which was different from what the Egyptians believed. So the Pharaoh enslaved the Hebrews.
  • I will.
  • Is there anyone else like to help us in battle?
  • Moses was an Israelite who grew up in the Pharaohs kingdom as a prince of Egypt. God instructed Moses to free the Israelites from slavery. He asked to fulfill this covenant so he said "Let my people go!"
  • Thank you God for giving me the Ten Commandments.
  • I have just talked to God and he gave me the Ten Commandments.
  • Turning water into blood was one of the plagues that happened in Egypt. Another one was when all their animals became diseased and dying. Also lots of storms and hail in Egypt. One of the last and horrible plagues was the first born son of each family dying. It is called Passover because the angel of death would pass over all of the Egyptian houses.
  • Lets go, everyone to Canaan!
  • Moses and his people left Egypt and lived in the wilderness for forty years. While there they started repopulating. That helped them by adding on to their army to fight the people who took over Canaan.
  • While Moses and his people were traveling to Canaan they came across a mountain too hard to climb. Moses went up the mountain and talked to God about what was troubling them. Afterwards, God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and so Moses went down to tell the Israelites how to act towards God.
  • Most of the Hebrews died before they got to Canaan and so did Moses. The reason he died is because he doubted God sometimes and was not allowed to go to Canaan. So Moses' assistant, Joshua, led the Israelites to Canaan where they would fight battles to take it over.
