We all move to the city in a tenements we had to work 12 to 14 hours per day, my dad and alot of other men got into Alcoholism and crime. We kids and womans got low wages.
In 1785 James Watt invented steam engine so factories can be built away from rivers.
Alot of us Kids had to go on machine because it was very easy to fix it cause of our size but girls and woman got they're hair stuck in the machine it was terrible.
People got lung disease, cholera, tuberculosis and people were scared working at the factories because of factories accident.
Robert Owen change the working conditions in 1833 like children 8 and younger can't work at all, 9 to 13 can't work they have to go to school, 14 and older have to work no more than 12 hours. Childern can't work at night
