  • On October 5, 1789 Women in Paris began to riot on accounts of high price of bread. More and more women gathered and began to march on the Palace of Versailles. The women demanded King Louis XVI to go back with them to Paris.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • The Declaration of Rights of Man and of the Citizen was a document set by France's National Assembly. The document was inspired by America's Declaration of Independence, it showed and gave the equal rights of men.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • The Reign of Terror was a time during the Revolution in which Maximilian Robespierre ruled. He repressed many French citizens and killed many of them.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • Former King of France Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers. The charge for this crime was death by guillotine. So on October 16th, members of France watched their former king beheaded.
  • Napoleon Bonaparte was an excellent French military commander. He began to gain power through the military and took control of the French Government in 1799.
  • Napoleon brought France to a great height, but began to begin was with other countries such as Russia and Great Britain. He was unable to defeat all of these enemies and was forced into exile.
