Storyboard Text

  • Odysseus, my love... why would you ever leave me? Please don't go, I am heartbroken...
  • Hermes, I swear by the power vested in me, I will chase after the man of my dreams.
  • Zeus does not control my love life. I shall set sail by dawn, regardless.
  • Are you insane? Zeus commanded you do none of these foolish schemes. You must obey the lord, or take it up with him yourself.
  • This should be enough supplies to use to build and to last me for my voyage. Odysseus, here I come.
  • Odysseus has just left for his voyage home, leaving behind a heartbroken Calypso crying on the crystal white sand of the beach, longing for her love.
  • According to this map, he should be traveling West at 30 knots per hour, perfect.
  • Calypso argues with Hermes when he returns to the island, claiming that she will refuse Zeus' orders and chase after Odysseus no matter the consequences.
  • Hermes, you must destroy her ship before she sets sail, at all costs.
  • Of course, sire. I shall not fail you.
  • Calypso begins to gather materials from the beach in order to build a raft and sustain her life for her long voyage ahead. She gathers wood, rope, and vines for the ship and plenty of fruit to quench her hunger.
  • Oh my! Oh no, my raft has been destroyed. This must be the work of the gods.
  • *chuckles* She had it coming. Hah, true love no more.
  • Calypso stays up late at night sketching out her route for her journey. She is certain that if her calculations are correct, she will catch up to Odysseus in time.
  • Meanwhile in Olympus...
  • However, meanwhile in Olympus, Zeus is busy yelling at Hermes for possibly inspiring the immortal to set out for her quest. He instructs Hermes to avoid allowing her to escape at all costs.
  • Hermes returns with the message from Zeus and destroys Calypso's raft, causing everything to be demolished. Calypso is left devastated. Her plan has failed.
