  • The Battle of Alamo
  • The first shots in the Texas revolution was The Battle Of Gonzales or the "Lexington of Texas".Santa Anna had sent about 100 Mexican troops to go and retrieve the cannon. The troops were faced with resistance and the texians won the short fight.
  • Goliad Massacre
  • Kill them all!!
  • The Declaration of November 7, 1835. Created a provisional government and elected Henry Smith to be the governor. Also Sam Houston was elected as Commander-In-Chief of the Texas Army.
  • The Battle Of San Jacinto
  • I don't think that was fair.
  • Well...That was easy.
  • On February 23, 1836, Santa Anna laid siege on The Alamo. The siege lasted for 13 days. On the night of March 6, 1836, the Mexican troops attacked the Alamo. The texians inside were quickly overwhelmed and the Mexican army won.
  • Independence
  • On March 27, 1836, 425-445 prisoners from the Texian Army of the Republic of Texas were killed by the Mexican Army in the town of Goliad, Texas. Among those killed was commander Colonel James Fannin.
  • The Battle of San Jacinto only lasted 20 minutes and as a result 630 Mexicans were killed and only 9 Texans were killed. This battle was was the last battle of the Texan Revolution and on May 14, 1836 the Mexicans retreated and declared the end of war.
  • With the crushing victory at the Battle of San Jacinto in April 1836, Texas won the war and gained independence from Mexico.
