One day, Lilly decided to put a rug in her study and wondered if she should figure out the distance around the circular rug, which is also the circumferance and expressed by C=(3.14)(Diameter)
Then she had a new idea! She wondered if she could send her rug into uniform circular motion! Which is an object moving at a constant speed in a circular path.
First, she would have to know what Tangential Velocity is. ( It is the velocity of an object traveling in circular motion multiplied by the radius of the circle.) We feel like this would be important for Lilly to know.
It would also help if she knew what Centripetal Force is.... (that's the force towards the center of a circle from an object traveling in circular motion)
It would also help if Lilly had a better idea than the one to send her rug into uniform circular motion...
