Back in 800 CE there lived a barbarian group called Vikings.
Vikings originated in Southern Scandinavia (present day Sweden)
The Viking invaded Western and Eastern Europe. They preyed on the defenseless and the wealthy
Vikings had a hit-and-run strategy. They would steal the loot and go away before anybody could stop them
Other groups at the time did not like the Vikings. Since the Vikings mostly stole and ravaged that was what everyone thought of them. Truthfully they weren't that much bad compared to other warriors at the time.
The Vikings were defeated in 1066, when the Vikings were defeated by the English. Another reason for the extinction of Vikings was the coming of christianity. Scandinavia converted to Christianity and became more apart of mainland Europe.
