Storyboard Text

  • Old Major tells the animals about a time in the future where the humans will be overthrown by the animals in a song. The pigs agree that they should prepare for that day.
  • The 7 commandments

  • The animals rebel against Mr. Jones without planning and they successfully take over the farm
  • The animals rename the farm Animal Farm.

  • The Pigs announced that they had succeeded in reducing the principles from Old Major's speech into seven points. These points became "The 7 Commandments" and were written on the wall of the barn.
  • 1. Whatever goes upon Two legs is an enemy2. Whatever goes upon four legs or has wings is a friend3. No animal shall wear clothes4. no animal shall sleep in a bed5. no animal shall drink alcohol6. no animal shall kill any other animal7. All animals are Equal
  • Not all animals could learn the Seven Commandments by heart. Snowball decides that they can be reduced into a maxim. The maxim is: Four legs good, two legs bad.

  • The pigs keep all the milk and apples for themselves. This shows that they believe they are better than the other animals.
