  • I'm going to tell you guys some facts about Intermolecular forces
  • It's the strongest bond because it has the highest boiling point and its high electronegativity
  • Hydrogen bonding occurs between a Hydrogen atom and another atom usually Nitrogen, Fluorine, or Oxygen
  • Lets start off with the strongest force Hydrogen Bonding
  • If the electronegativity difference is between 0.4 and 0.7 then its considered to be a polar bond
  • Dipole dipole is bonding between the positive end of one polar molecule and the negative end of another polar molecule
  • The next force is Dipole Dipole
  • This force occurs when the electrons in two adjacent atoms occupy positions that make the atoms form temporary dipoles
  • The last force is London Dispersion force which is the weakest force
  • It can also be referred to as a induced dipole attraction because it causes nonpolar substances to condense to liquids and to freeze into solids when the temperature is lowered sufficiently
  • Those were facts intermolecular forces hope you enjoyed
