  • That is not fair, Arcite. I ltotally love her for, not her looks.
  • *angelic singing* hey there, delilah
  • Emily, thou is thicker than a bowl of porridge.
  • God, I wish that were me.
  • Are you calling me a liar?
  • Stop this at once! If you really want Emily, you will return in a year with 100 men and fight for her hand.
  • Well, I ain't calling you a TRUTHER.
  • After enduring years of imprisonment, royal cousins Arcite and Palamon convince themselves they love Emily, a royal maiden.
  • Oh Venus, I pray for love.
  • Mars, grant me victory.
  • Oh Diana, I pray for maidenhood, but if I must be wed, let it be to the one who truly loves me.
  • Through some clever networking, Arcite is freed from his imprisonment, but returns in hopes of seeing Emily.
  • Oh cousin Arcite, no!
  • finally, my baseless pipe dream has been achieved.
  • After escaping from prison, Palamon confronts Arcite for his lies and they fight. However, King Theseus proposes a challenge in return to Emily's hand.
  • I now pronounce you husband and wife.
  • No one even asked me for my opinion.
  • Each protagonist prays to a different deity in hopes of having their prayers answered. Saturn intervenes to answer them all.
  • Arcite wins the battle, but is deathly injured by his horse. On his death bed, Arcite asks for Palamon to marry Emily.
  • That hurt. But, low-key, Emily should marry my man Palamon.
  • After a year of mourning, Palamon and Emily marry with Theseus' blessing.
