While working with his friends Gardo, Raphael finds a leather bag with 1,100 pesos, a map, and a key inside.
The police were looking for a bag so they paid the citizens of Behala to find the bag, but Raphael and Gardo had asked Rat to hide the bag.
The three boys discover that the key belongs to a locker at the train station. The locker had an envelope from a man named Jose Angelico addressed to a man named Gabriel Olondriz.
The police arrest Raphael because they think he is suspicious. They interrogate him and beat him, but Raphael still says he knows nothing about the bag they want. They eventually let him go.
Gardo makes up an excuse to Olivia that he needs to see his Grandfather in Colva Prison. They needed to pay bribe money to see the man.
The man didn't know Gardo at all so Olivia found out Gardo lied to her. Gardo reads the letter to Gabriel, Gabriel who is dying tells them he had evidence that a senator stole money. Gabriel was arrested because he knew too much.
