Oh, we usually eat spaghetti with a fork. We never really ate it with chopsticks.
Oh sorry, I did not know this. In my culture, we use chopsticks when we eat spaghetti, therefore, I thought maybe you guys just brought out the wrong utensil to use.
It is okay Betty! This is not a big deal! You are taking the APS course right? This is ethnocentrism. As it is the belief in the inherent superiority of one's own ethnic group or culture so I understand when you started questioning about the utensil.
Oh I understand now! Thanks for telling me this. Now I will be able to understand more beyond just my own culture. I should try using a fork this time then.
The next day in class.
I do not understand what classical conditioning means and tomorrow is the test. What do I do?
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
Oh my god! The fire alarm went on! We must leave now!
Nancy, would this be an example of classical conditioning since we just left the building in response to a bell? I know that classical conditioning is when an organism responds to an event without thinking. We all naturally left without anyone telling us to do so! Also, the bell would be the stimuli and leaving the building would be our response!
Yes! You are correct! You finally understand what classical conditioning is.
