Storyboard Text

  • 12th June 1381: Peasants arrive outside the city of London it is believed there were about 30,000 following Tyler by now.
  • Come on men!
  • 13-14th June 1381: The doors of London are opened and by the 14th Richard meets Tyler at Miles End. Wat tells the king the peasants demands Richard agrees and signs a charter for the peasants freedom. Many peasants leave after the charter has been signed.

  • 14th June: Rebels come and execute some of the kings officials. An army of Londoners storms in and executes the archbishop of Canterbury and the kings clergy and the treasurer.
  • 15th June 1381: An army for the king has been hastily put together and the king asks Wat for a further meeting. this happened at Smith field. Tyler and his men make more demands but crafty Richard pretends to agree and leads Tyler's army away.
  • They think i'm stupid
  • Tyler's men are now surrounded by Richards knights many of the rebels are executed including John Ball who's head was put on a stuck along with Wat Tyler. The peasants revolt ended, many peasants are killed and the rest beg for mercy.
  • 600 years would pass before anyone tried pulling a stunt like that again
