Meet Lily. She has recently been getting panic attacks and needs a renewal on her birth control prescription. Her panic attacks started 6 months ago and have gotten increasingly worse. She is also almost out of her last order of birth control and needs an update soon to order more.
Lily's big issue is that she can't take time off work to wait in a walk-in clinic for 3+ hours. She just got a new job and wants to make a good impression. She works late hours and the clinic stops taking new patients after 5pm. Her family doctor is always scheduled and does not work weekends. What should Lily do?
Lily remembered that Microsoft just released a new application for Health Canada to improve the health care experience! She quickly logs onto the website and schedules her appointment for 3pm that day. Since the clinic is far away from her office and she doesn't have to physically show the doctor anything, she chooses to do a video call instead! After putting in her basic information and uploading an image of her health card shes good to go!
It's finally 3pm and Lily logs back onto Microsofts Health App for her video Doctor call. After a quick 15 min of describing her symptoms to her Doctor and asking for an updated perscription the Doctor gets his assistant to forward her his new prescriptions and recommendations! Now Lily can go right back to work!
