  • Nestor the wise old king thought that if Patroclus, Paris’s bestie, put on Achilles special armor they would scare the Trojans.
  • Patroclus put on his armor and rode out to battle, but the plan was for him to turn back
  • So Patroclus put on his armor and rode out to battle, but the plan was for him to turn back on his armor and rode out to battle, but the plan was for him to turn back around but Patroclus rode into battle in frenzy slaughtering people left and right until he came upon Hector.
  • Apollo threw off Patroclus’s helmet so Hector could see he was not Achilles. So Hector speared Patroclus in the belly. Patroclus uttered a prophecy saying that Hector would be slaughtered by Achilles in this same spot.
  • HOTTEST NEWS ON THE TROJAN WAR
  • PATROCLUS FOUND DEAD!
  • After hearing this Achilles got a new armor made by Hephaestus and rode into battle to kill Hector but before this, they played funeral games and Achilles said once he died his ashes would be buried with Patroclus’s ashes. Then Achilles went into battle.
  • That night Achilles couldn’t sleep so he strung Hector’s corpse to his chariot by his ankle and went around the fields in the chariot like a madman.
