Storyboard Text

  • ACT 5 : Scene 1 [ Mantua ]
  • I had a dream that my lady came and found me dead. She came an brought me back to life by kissing my lips. I rose from the dead wand was an emperor.
  • If I can trust my dreams, then some joyful news is coming soon. Love rules my heart, and all day long a strange feeling has been making me cheerful.
  • Oh my! How sweet it would be to actually have the woman I love, when merely thinking about love makes me so happy.
  • I'm happy to meet you, my lady and my wife.
  • Do you have news from Verona? Do you bring me a letter from the Friar? How is my father and my wife, Juliet?
  • Her body sleeps in the Capulet tomb, and her immortal soul lives with the angels in heaven... I saw her buried in her family's tomb.
  • I'm happy to meet you, my lady and my wife.
  • Is it really true? Don't you have a letter from the friar?
  • No matter. Get on your way and hire those horses. I'll be with you right away.
  • If you can not help me prevent this marriage, I'll solve this problem with this knife. God has already joined my heart to Romeo's.
  • No, my good lord.
  • On Wednesday morning, on a street of Mantua, Romeo is cheerfully describing a wonderful dream he had the night before.
  •
  • Balthasar enters, and Romeo greets him happily, saying that Balthasar must have come from Verona with news of Juliet and his father. Balthasar replies that Juliet is well, in heaven, as she was found dead that morning at her home.
  • Act 5 : Scene 2 [ Friar Lawrence's Cell ]
  • How did Romeo respond to my letter?
  • I was unable to deliver the letter as I was shut up in a quarintined house due to an outbreak of plague
  • Romeo writes a letter for Balthasar to give to Montague, and orders him to hire horses. Romeo aks if Balthasar is carrying a letter from Friar Lawrence, but Balthasar says he is not, and is sent on his way.
  •
  • Now I must go to the tomb alone. Within three hours Juliet will wake up... she'll be very angry that Romeo doesn't know what happened. I'll write again to Mantua, and keep her in my cell until Romeo comes.
  • Once Balthasar is gone, Romeo says that he will lie with Juliet that night. He goes to find an apothecary nd offers to pay him well for a vial of potion.
  • Friar Lawrence asks Friar John, whom he had earlier sent to MAntua with a letter to ROmeo, how ROmeo responded to his letter. Friar John replies that he was unable to deliver the letter.
  • Well this is a huge problem...
  • Friar Lawrence declares that he will have to recue Juliet from the tomb on his own, and sends another letter to Romeo to warn him about what has happened. and plans to keep Juliet in his cell until Romeo arrives.
