The Famous Five asked the Supreme Court of Canada if they were people and therefore had rights. They said they were not.
Defeated but not discouraged, they went to PM King, who readily helped them and appealed to the British Privy Council.
With King's help and piles of determination, the women appealed to the BPC and won the right of being a person.
Thank you Lord.
Thanks to the Famous Five and the Persons Case, all women gained the right to vote 1940. They also paved the way for women to become more independent and widely accepted in all paths of life.
