  • Exposition
  • Conflict
  • Where am I? I'm scared...
  • Rising Action
  • I'm so hungry...
  • Elena was having a picnic with her family when she decided to explore the forest. Even though she was very scared of being in the forest by herself, she knew that she wouldn't walk too far.
  • Climax
  • Elena mysteriously woke up in the forest. She had no idea where she was or how she could get home. She was very scared, but she saw a cave nearby and decided to stay there.
  • Falling Action
  • Elena, scared and hungry, lay in the cave that she found. She was too scared to leave the cave, and even too scared to move.  After many hours of just laying in her cave without food, sleep, or water, Elena finally fell asleep.
  • Resolution
  • Elena then had a dream that she was sitting next to a magical lake, where she saw a mermaid. The mermaid knew about Elena's problem, so the mermaid then gave Elena some advice to help her get home.
  • You have to be brave if you ever want to go home again.
  • When Elena woke up, she knew that she would die if she stayed in the forest by herself, so she decided to follow the mermaids advice. She bravely walked through the forest, even though she was usually terrified of being alone in forests.
  • A couple days later, Elena found her way home. After this experience, Elena became very brave. She also started to love walking and exploring in the forest.
