Storyboard Text

  • Once upon a time, there was a girl named Arachne. She loved to spin and weave more than anything in the world.
  • There was once a girl whose name was Arachne, and she could spin and weave extremely well. She often boasted that she was better than the gods.
  • This made Athena pretty mad. She challenged Arachne to a weave-off, and whoever loses would never be allowed to touch a spindle or loom ever again.
  • Zeus was the judge, and Athena was the winner. Arachne was devastated, she would never weave again. Athena took pity on her. But, she found a way for Aracne to weave without touching a spindle or loom.
  • Arachne was then transformed into a spider, so she could be happy again.
  • And it is said, that all spiders are children of Arachne, and if you see a spider, it may be Arachne herself, spinning and weaving happily forever.
  • The End :)
