Storyboard Text

  • Student, we went over proper lab safety at the beginning of the semester.
  • Student, you know the rules. You have to cover up your legs, feet and neck to stay safe in the lab.
  • A female student enters the chemistry lab in inappropriate clothing causing danger to herself and possibly to others.
  • Aesthetic or die, Ms. Teacher.
  • The teacher calmly asks why the student wore this since she knew they would be in the lab today.
  • Students, this lab is very important for your EOC tests.  If you are not dressed appropriately, you cannot participate and therefore will not only fail this lab day, but could fail your finals.
  • The student pretends to ignore the teacher, so the teacher comes closer to address the problem directly.
  • The student is unwilling to change her outfit, so the teacher must try a different approach.
  • The teacher then offered the student to go change into her gym clothes or to call home and retake the lab later in the day with another class, or during RTI time.
  • The student was given choices and therefore felt like she was in control.
