Storyboard Text

  • The opposite of respectful is RUDE, so we our group illustrated non-rude things. We can give each other thumbs up, smile at each other, be patient, and love to show respect.
  • In each of your groups, I challenge you to ILLUSTRATE your rule word and include the action that shows it!

  • Wow! I looks like everyone understands what these words mean to our class! We're on the right track for a happy year! Let's take our bonds outside and do some challenges!

  • Effective = correctly do what you're asked the first time ~

  • Don't give up! These are meant to be hard! Have fun and try lots of weird solutions!
  • In teacher-arranged groups, students will collaborate on a poster to hang showing the acronym rules. They will also present it to the class.
  • Once everyone has shared their thoughts, the posters will be displayed for students to use as reminders. (Procedures start tomorrow when it's not such a stressful "new" day.)
  • After the students have gotten to know one another a little bit, they've worked together academically, I want to see how they work together socially. We go outside for challenge course activities. I video these and replay at end of year after doing them again. We see growth.
