On December 25, 1776 George Washington led his soldiers across the Delaware River.
What should we do?
George Washington helped prepare the soldiers to attack German Mercenaries.
YAY! We won!
The Colonists surrounded the German Mercenaries and they were caught by surprise.
Great Job everyone! Let start heading towards Charles Cornwall's troops
I can't believe we won!
Washington ordered his troops to keep fighting.
Washington led his troops to victory with few casualties. They caught the British by surprise and this resulted in the British losing many Hessians. Many were captured, wounded or killed and very few escaped.
The colonist's win raised their spirits and they gained a lot of support from Patriots.
