  • We don't want to get sick everytime we eat! We want change NOW!
  • Cancer-b-Gone!! Ingredients: Fairy Magic!!!
  • Any illness is instantly cured with Cancer-b-Gone!
  • In the early 1900s, despite the new-fangled tech, more and more people were getting sicker than heck. From old to young and rich and poor, food related illnesses were starting to soar.
  • Something must be done!
  • In meat factories near and far, the companies were dropping the ball. From diseased meat being ground up and dyed with chemicals to rats being added as filler, the quality of product was taking a rapid fall. The products being sold reflected these screw-ups, and when authors exposed these conditions, everyone wanted to throw-up.
  • Wow, everything looks great!
  • Another big issue found in the food industry was false labeling. Advertisers claimed everything from hair growth to cancer cures, false hopes they were enabling. The evil producers were even allowed to put whatever they wanted into their products.
  • After enough public outrage, the government started notice more diseased citizens weren't living past an early age. Our hero, President Roosevelt, made great congressional strides.
  •  The Meat Inspection and The Pure Food and Drug Act Roosevelt did provide! Now meat factories were checked for cleanliness and food and drug products' ingredients were checked for health's friendliness. The people rejoiced their food was safe at last and their thankfulness was voiced.
  • As a result of the hard work our government put in, dangerous food now goes right in the bin. We can now trust our health and safety in our grocery stores, but if we couldn't we would likely all have to grow our own crops and eat from our own boring chores.
