  • "Oh my god guys, look at the baby!!!"

  • "Gatsby, let's go into the city just me and you I'm so bored"
  • Gatsby begins by calling off all of his extravagant parties and fires servants to prevent any gossip. He then hires some shady characters who are connected to Wolfshiem. 
  • One of the hottest days of the Summer, Nick travels to East Egg to have lunch at Tom and Daisy's to find Gatsby and Jordan there as well. The nurse brings out Daisy's child and Gatsby is so stunned he can hardly believe the child is actually real; meanwhile Daisy can't seem to be less interested in her.
  • "Hey Nick and Tom look!!"
  • "There's been a hit and run on the boarder of the valley of Asher, I repeat a hit and run."
  • During somewhat of an awkward afternoon, Daisy and Gatsby are unable to hide their love for one another. So dying of bordem, Daisy asks Gatsby to take her into the city. While passionately starring at her, Tom grows certain of their feelings for each other.
  • As Gatsby and Tom begin to have a lover's quarrel, Daisy feels herself siding closer and closer with Tom. So realizing his win, Tom sends Daisy to Long Island with Gatsby. Nick remembers that today is the day of his 30th birthday.
  • "Oh yeah? Well, at least I did attend Oxford!"
  • "Daisy and I have more history than you could ever even understand!"
  • On the drive back, Nick, Tom, and Jordan see a frightening scene on the boarder of the valley of ashes; someone has been fatally killed in a car accident. Michaelis the witness explains that Myrtle was the victim and that the car coming from NY quickly sped away after realizing what they had done.
