Kate is a student that uses social media on a daily basis and her grades have been affected by it
Students who have positive experiences and a positive social presence have been seen to have increased student motivation. This therefore allows social wellbeing to be a main predictor of students academic performance.
Adolescents can be affected negatively by social media due to the onset of depression, anxiety, stress and addiction. Different elements of social media can bring out different reactions from adolescents.
Teenagers may perceive YouTubers as role models,therefore YouTubers can significantly affect teenager’s life decisions, physical appearance and self-esteem. YouTube involves risks as young people can get exposed to inappropriate videos.
