Act 5; Death
Yes, we will grant you mercy Aktu, we will allow you to die and be with your family ih the afterlife, for you have learned your lesson.
For the next few years Aktu cherished what last few years he had with his youngest son, but eventually he too, grew old and died. Once more he mourned the death of a loved one.
All alone and depressed Aktu remembered the warning of the gods, they were correct it was a burden, even while you may live forever and healthy, your loved ones do not and you must carry the knowledge that you must live forever because of your own selfish greed while the ones you loved and will love, will die while you live.
Pleased that Aktu had learned his lesson, they granted him mercy, and allowed him to die. They also allowed him to be with his family in the afterlife. Aktu thanked the gods for their mercy and willingly stepped into the afterlife.
Dear gods I don't want to be immortal anymore, please grant me the mercy of death.
