A few days after Grandma Lan's death, the Cultural Revolution is over. Fei and her family can come out of hiding and be free. Fei's father wants to find a new home and everyone seems happy about it.
A few days later...
Why don't we find a new home?!?
Wow! We are free!
It is all over!
It is now 1989. Bo is now 28 which means he is old enough to go protest. Fei is now 30 and their father is now much older. Bo asks Fei to go protest at Tiananmen Square and she says he can go. All while their father is sleeping.
June 4th 1989...
Hey sis, can I go protest at Tiananmen Square I really want democracy.
Um..Ok, but be careful.
The morning after Fei let her brother Bo go to the protest, Fei and her father found out that there was a massacre and many people had died. Bo did not come back, which meant he probably died. Fei and her father were very sad. Now it was just Fei and her father.
Nooo! Not my son!
Now..I guess its just me and you.
This is all my fault. I should have never let him go there!
That is where Bo went! And he still hasn't come back!
